Norwalk Man Nabbed With Gun Following Shots Fired Incident, Police Say A Fairfield County man has been charged with criminal possession of a firearm for allegedly firing shots during a disturbance with people in the area. Jose Geovany Merino-Mejia, age 45, of Norwalk, was charged on Friday, Nov. 3 for the incident that took place on Saturday, Oct. 28 in the area of Lexington Avenue. A Ruger .45 caliber handgun was recovered during the arrest. Five Adults, Five Children Displaced In Norwalk House Fire Five adults and five children have been displaced as a result of a house fire that broke out in Norwalk on Christmas night, according to the Norwalk Fire Department. The fire occurred at 16 Lexington Avenue around 10:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 25. When fire crews responded to the call, they noticed upon arrival heavy smoke billowing from both stories of the duplex. Authorities also observed open flames coming from the second-story bedroom window. The heat from the fire melted the siding on the building next door. Fire crews were able to get the blaze under control within about 10 minutes…
