Blaze Breaks Out At Fairfield Fire Department
A group of Fairfield County firefighters received the call all dreaded, a blaze at their own station. The incident took place in the town of Fairfield around 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 2 at Station 1 on Reef Road. The crew received the news from Fairfield Fire Marshal, Asst. Fire Chief Phil Higgins as they were returning from a call that he had been alerted to a fire in the kitchen when the heat detectors activated the the building fire alarm. Gas-Fed Fire Kitchen Fire Displaces Fairfield County Family
Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish a kitchen fire at a two-family residence in Fairfield County. The fire started around 6 p.m., Monday, Feb. 15, at the home located at 9 Cottage Street in Danbury. Fire and police units were immediately dispatched. Danbury Police Officer Stephan Cameron was on routine patrol in the area and arrived on the scene to find heavy smoke coming from the home, said James Gagliardo, public information spokesman for the department. House Fire Breaks Out In Stratford
Police in Fairfield County and EMS responding to an activated medical alarm device in the wee hours of the morning called firefighters after happening upon pluming smoke and a rapidly-spreading kitchen fire. Police woke the two families living at 20 and 22 Marsh Way in Stratford when they arrived at approximately 5 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 21. They physically assisted one resident.
