Antonia 'Toni' Recchia Allende of Vista, 61, died peacefully with family at her side on January 6, 2021 after a heroic two-and-a-half-year battle with glioblastoma multiforme, a highly aggressive brain cancer. She was a courageous fighter who far outlived her diagnosis.
Formerly of New Canaan, CT, Toni was born September 28, 1959 in Settefrati, Italy. She immigrated to the United States with her family in 1965 where they settled in New Canaan. Margot Cantrall, 82, Of Danbury: Chemist, Accomplished Singer
Margot (Benz) Cantrall, 82, died on March 22 in Danbury Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born in New York City on August 21, 1937 to Max and Louise (Steudle) Benz, who emigrated from Germany in the 1920s.
Margot grew up in the Pelham Bay area of the Bronx and attended both Hunter High School and Hunter College, graduating with a BA in Chemistry in 1959. Johnathan Malizia Of New Canaan Dies At 32
Johnathan M. Malizia, a longtime resident of New Canaan, died on Tuesday, March 12 at Norwalk Hospital surrounded by his family. He was 32.
He was born in Stamford on October 29, 1986, the son of Kenneth and Maureen Winters Malizia of New Canaan.
He graduated from New Canaan High School in 2004 and began working for his father’s local cleaning business. He loved music, traveling, fishing, animals and being with friends who also shared these passions.
In addition to his parents, John is survived by his brother Austin Malizia of Stamford, and sister Jordan Malizia of New York City.
