Julia Sutton, 56, of Weehawken, New Jersey, was struck by a vehicle driven by 19-year-old Mark Carey, Jr. of South Amboy earlier this month on Route 35, as previously reported by Daily Voice. CT Hit-Run Victim Saved By Good Samaritan, Police Say A Connecticut pedestrian who was struck by a hit-and-run driver remains in critical condition after being aided by a Good Samaritan. Hit-And-Run: Driver Charged With Injuring Pedestrian In Stamford Crosswalk STAMFORD, Conn. — Thanks to quick-thinking witnesses who took photos of the fleeing car, Stamford police were able to make an arrest in a hit-and-run that left a man lying injured in a busy roadway on Saturday afternoon, according to the Stamford Advocate.  A 53-year-old man told police that he had waited for the signal as he crossed High Ridge Road near Square Acre Drive in the crosswalk, the Advocate said.   When a car came at him at a high rate of speed, he jumped back but was struck on the left side of his body and hit his head in the roadway, the Stamford Advocate said.
