Victims Extracted From Separate Crashes Overnight In Norwalk
A fire department in Fairfield County performed two separate vehicle extractions overnight. The first extrication in Norwalk occurred at the intersection of Highland Avenue and Wilson Avenue, in the Rowayton section of the city, just after 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6. Fire Breaks Out At Condominium Complex In Norwalk
A chimney fire quickly spread through a Norwalk condominium complex, prompting a heavy response from firefighters in the area. Crews from the Norwalk Fire Department responded to a reported chimney fire at approximately 4:20 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27 at the Rowayton Woods Condominiums off Highland Avenue. Upon arrival, firefighters said that heavy fire had already penetrated through the roof of a condo after a homeowner started a fire in a fireplace, which quickly spread. Norwalk Officer Injured When Stolen Truck Slams Into Cruiser During Chase
NORWALK, Conn. -- Someone who stole a pickup truck in Norwalk early Tuesday morning intentionally backed into one cruiser and drove directly at another before crashing and running away, according to police. At around 3 a.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a home on Assisi Way for a report of a stolen vehicle. A description of the stolen vehicle, a Chevy pickup, was broadcast to all units, and moments later an officer spotted it traveling southbound on the Route 7 Connector.
