Visitation for Tim McCormack will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. on Monday, June 17, at the Miller Funeral Home on Hooker Avenue in Poughkeepsie. Fire company services will be held at 7 p.m. Funeral services for the Arlington High School graduate will be held the following day, at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 18, at St. Mary’s Church on Church Street in Poughkeepsie. Pilot Killed In NYC Chopper Crash Remembered As 'Dedicated, Professional' Ex-Fire Chief In Area The pilot from the Hudson Valley killed in a helicopter crash-landing on the roof of a Manhattan skyscraper is being remembered for his years of service as a longtime fire chief in the area. McCormack, the only victim in the crash, had taken off from the 34th Street heliport 11 minutes before crashing onto the top of the 750-foot tall building amid rain and fog, setting its roof on fire. Tim McCormack, 58, served on the Clinton Volunteer Fire Department in Dutchess County from 1994 until his death on Monday afternoon, June 10. He was the department's chief for 10 years. Footage Shows Final Moments In Crash Of Helicopter Piloted By Danbury Man Footage taken from the inside of a New Jersey helicopter captures the final moments of the victims' lives before crashing in the East River Sunday. The video was posted by Trevor Cadigan of Dallas, Texas, on Instagram. The 26-year-old was one of the five passengers pronounced dead, the New York Post reports. Other victims were identified as Tristan Hill, 30 of NYC; Daniel Thompson, 34 of NYC; Brian McDaniel, 26 of Dallas, Texas; and Carla Vallejos-Blanco, 29 of Argentina, the story says.
