Man Killed, Woman Injured In Single-Vehicle CT Crash, Police Say
A man was killed, and a woman was injured following a one-car crash in Connecticut.
The crash occurred in Hartford County around 9:15 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 29, in the area of Slater Road near Mitchell Street in New Britain.
According to New Britain Police spokeswoman Rachel Zaniewski, when officers arrived, they found the unidentified man unresponsive, and he was later pronounced dead by New Britain EMS on the scene.
The passenger was alert and conscious but suffered several injuries as a result of the crash and was transported to an area hospital for further treatment, Zaniewski said…

Two pedestrians were hit, and one was killed by a vehicle at a busy Connecticut intersection.
The crash occurred in Hartford County in Bristol around 4:15 a.m., Monday, June 24, in the area of Pine Street (Route 72) and Emmett Street.
According to Lt. Patrick Krajewski of the Bristol Police, officers from the patrol division administered life-saving measures until EMS arrived on the scene to take over care.
Both pedestrians were transported to area hospitals, where one pedestrian died, Krajewski said.

A Connecticut woman was arrested after she reportedly crashed into another vehicle and hit multiple construction cones, officials say.
In Middlesex County, Jennifer Ryan, a resident of Coventry in Tolland County, was arrested on Monday, July 24 after she reportedly drove erratically on Route 9 southbound near Exit 27 in Cromwell, according to authorities.
Multiple calls reported that a red Lincoln MKZ, later determined to be driven by Ryan, crashed into a CT DOT vehicle and hit several construction cones in a work zone around 11:30 p.m., Connecticut State Police said.

Police Investigating Suspicious Death Of CT 38-Year-Old As Homicide
Police are investigating as a homicide the suspicious death of a man found by concerned citizens in Connecticut.
The man, identified as Antonio Tosado-Lopez, age 38, of Hartford, was found around 2 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 11 in the rear parking lot of 700 Park St., said Lt. Aaron Boisvert, of the Hartford Police.
According to Boisvert, officers responded to the area after concerned citizens informed the Hartford Fire Department about an unconscious man on Park Street.
When officers arrived, Hartford Fire was providing medical attention to Tosado-Lopez until EMS arrived on the scene. …

An Ecuadorian man visiting the Fairfield County area is alive and well following a medical emergency thanks to the actions of a Stamford police officer.
Pablo Campoverde, 24, of Cuenca, Ecuador, arrived in Stamford on Aug. 20, to visit with an uncle on Horton Street.
But around 1:40 a.m. Aug. 21, Campoverde, who doesn't have medical issues or drink or do drugs, stopped breathing, according to Stamford Police.

30 Roads Completely Shut Down During Second Nor'easter, Wilton PD Says
As snow is falling again, the Wilton Police Department is reporting that at the height of the March 7 and 8 Nor'easter, the second Nor'easter to hit the area in a 10-day span, 30 roads were closed.
During the storm, the department responded to 211 calls for service, including four for traffic accidents and 141 calls related to road conditions such as downed trees and utility wires, the department reported.
In total, 192 separate locations were identified on more than 100 roads with either downed trees or wires.
