Worker Critically Injured In Shelton A worker who was critically injured and stuck 40 feet up a tree was rescued by members of a Fairfield County fire department. The incident occurred in Shelton around 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 26 on Meghan Court. According to the fire department, Shelton firefighters arrived on the scene and found the worker stuck 40 feet up a tree. Members attempted to reach the man using ground ladders but were unsuccessful, the department said. Pregnant Woman, Two Children Injured In Fairfield County Crash A pregnant woman and two children involved in a crash were rescued by Fairfield County firefighters. The crash happened around 7:15 a.m., Monday, Jan. 24 on southbound Route 8 in the area of exit 13, said the Shelton Fire Department.
