22-Year-Old Faces Reckless Driving, Other Charges In Connection To Fatal Crash A 22-year-old from the region was arrested for reckless driving and other charges in connection to a fatal crash that killed a 58-year-old man. The crash took place in Litchfield County on Monday, Dec. 20, 2021, on Route 44, in the town of North Canaan. Two-Vehicle Crash Leaves Man Seriously Injured, CT State Police Say A driver was hospitalized with serious injuries following a head-on crash in Connecticut.  A 2015 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 was westbound on East Canaan Road in Litchfield County in the town of North Canaan when it crossed the double yellow centerline and struck an eastbound 2012 Volkswagen Jetta at about 9:40 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 29, according to Connecticut State Police. The Mercedes then traveled across the eastbound lane and exited the roadway, striking a wooden telephone pole, police reported.  The telephone pole reportedly split and fell into the eastbound travel lane.…
