Dick’s Sporting Goods had an unexpected visitor on Tuesday, June 11, when video captured a deer streaking through the store inside the Palisades Center Mall in West Nyack, and we have the video to prove it. A 24-year-old teacher's aide who was arrested for bringing a gun to a school in her purse has been fired. Gillian J. Jeffords, 24, of Warwick, was fired Wednesday evening, effective immediately, from the Jesse Kaplan School of the BOCES Campus in West Nyack, according to Scott Salotto, director of communications for BOCES.
