ID Released For Man Found By Mother Murdered In Bethel Home The man who was found dead inside the family home by his mother has been identified by the state's chief medical examiner's office.  The office said Richard O'Dell, 42, of Apollo Road, in Bethel, died of multiple gunshots wounds to the head. Bethel Police responded to the home around 6:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 11, after a call from O'Dell's mother saying she believed her son had committed suicide. Mom Finds Son Murdered In Bethel Home A man whose mother thought he committed suicide was the victim of a homicide, according to police. The unidentified 42-year-old man was found around 7 p.m., Monday, Nov. 11, when a resident of Apollo Road, returned home and found her son dead, said the Bethel Police Department. Police responded to the scene and determined that the death was a homicide and a suspect was quickly identified, said the Bethel Police.
