Police have released the identity of a 23-year-old who died eight days after he was struck by a hit-and-run driver. New Haven County resident Priyanshu Agwal of West Haven, died on Thursday, Oct. 26 from injuries sustained in the Wednesday, Oct. 18 crash in New Haven. Scooter Rider Critically Injured In Hit-Run CT Crash, Police Say
A Connecticut scooter rider suffered life-threatening when they were struck by an alleged hit-and-run driver. The incident took place in New Haven around 11 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 18. Officers responded to the intersection of Whalley Avenue and Amity Road and found the rider suffering from critical injuries, said Sgt. Cherelle Carr of the New Haven Police. Fairfield County Man Admits To Robbing Five Connecticut Banks
A Bridgeport man used weapons and murder threats to rob five Connecticut banks over the span of nearly a year, according to the John Durham, the U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut. Durham announced this week that Alexander Laister, 25, waived his right to be indicted and pleaded guilty in Hartford federal court to one count of armed bank robbery and admitted that he robbed a total of five banks between November 2016 and June 2017.
