The drummer of a well-known emo and pop-punk bank from Long Island said he has left the group, citing sobriety and creative differences. After 25 years of rocking out with Taking Back Sunday, Mark O'Connell announced his departure from the band in an Instagram post on Tuesday, Jan. 7. Talking Heads Drummer Hit By Drunk Driver In Fairfield County
A famous drummer and rocker from the Talking Heads and his wife barely escaped being killed when they were hit by a wrong-way drunk driver in Fairfield County. Chris Franz, age 70, and his wife Tina Weymouth, age 71, both of New York City, took to Facebook to describe the crash on Route 1 (Post Road) near the border of the Town of Fairfield and Bridgeport.
