One Home, Three Garages Burglarized While Residents Home Sleeping In Westport
One home and three garages were allegedly burglarized while the residents were home sleeping. These burglaries, which occurred during the morning hours of Sunday, Dec. 23, are the latest of a string of theft incidents in Westport. The residential burglary occurred after two suspects entered through an unlocked door while the residents were asleep. At least one item was stolen. The three garage theft suspects also entered through an unlocked entryway while residents were home sleeping. Two Westport Homes Burglarized While Families Sleeping
Westport police are once again reminding residents to lock their homes and vehicles following the burglary of two residences while the families were sleeping. The incidents occurred during the early morning hours of Monday, Dec. 17, and again on Thursday, Dec. 20, two residences were burglarized by the suspects entering through unlocked doors while the residents were home sleeping, the Westport Police said. Start 9 p.m. Routine: Unlocked Vehicles Stolen, Broken Into In Westport Prompt New Warning
Westport police are once again warning residents to lock their vehicles and remove valuables after two vehicles were stolen and two more broken into early Tuesday. The two stolen vehicles were taken from the Hillspoint Road area and two other motor vehicles were broken into, according to Westport Police Lt. Jillian Cabana. Credit cards stolen from one vehicle were later used in Stratford. All vehicles were believed to have been unlocked and keys were left inside the stolen motor vehicles, she said.
