Young Swimmers Ready to Dive Into Norwalk Meet

NORWALK, Conn. – Zeus Swim Club of Norwalk will host the second Marie Mortell meet for swimmers ages 10-and-under Saturday at Norwalk High School.

Mortell, a one-time Norwalk resident, won a gold medal in the 1948 London Olympics as a member of the 4 x 100 freestyle relay team. She died in 2010.

The meet begins at 8:45 and features children swimming in 10-and-under and 8-and-under divisions. In addition to individual events, the swimmers will also compete in relays.
