Wilton, Rowayton Fall in Tournament Action

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Ridgefield National defeated Wilton, 5-3, in the Tournament of Champions All-Town semifinals and won the tournament with a forfeit victory over Rowayton Sunday in District 1 Little League playoff action.

Rowayton forfeited when it did not have enough players for its 4 p.m. championship game. Some players were attending another game in Bethel, which ended too late to return to Stamford.

Stamford American won the Tournament of Champions for Stamford teams with a 13-12 victory over Springdale. The Tournament of Champions is for the top team in each league.
