The first round of playoffs in the Norwalk Recreation and Parks volleyball leagues will be played tonight. The tournament was postponed one week after storm damage forced school closures. Games are played at Tracey School.
In the A Division, the pairings feature Stamford vs. MBI Hot Sets at 6 p.m.; Who We Playing? Vs. Uncle Joes Giants at 6:45; Full of Hit vs. Notorious Dig at 7:30 and B.J. Ryans vs. SWAT at 8:15. In the B Division, games include Connolly Consulting vs. Diageo Spirits at 6 p.m.; FAF vs. Glencore at 6:45 p.m.; Ballbusters vs. Factset Smack Set at 7:30 and Factset Spike vs. Reed Expo at 8:15.
Stamford won the first and second half championships in the East Division with a 15-6 record. Uncle Joes Giants and MBI Hot Sets went 15-6 in the B Division, with Uncle Joes taking the second half title. The semifinals and finals will be played Tuesday, March 30.
