Unbeaten Teams Meet in LL Tourney

District 1 Little League wraps up pool play Tuesday night, including a battle of unbeaten teams at Springdale Field in Stamford. Darien National meets Springdale at 7:30 p.m., and both teams bring 5-0 records into the game. Both teams will advance to the elimination round, with tonight's winner earning the top seed in pool B, and the loser settling for the No. 2 seed.

The other key games Tuesday are in Wilton and Darien. National Lione of Stamford meets Wilton at Bill Terry Field at 7:30 p.m., and needs a victory to advance as the No. 2 seed in pool A. National Lione (3-2) owns a head-to-head victory over Darien American, which is also in the hunt for the No. 2 seed out of pool B. Darien American (3-2) plays Ridgefield American at 5:45 p.m. at McGuane Field in Darien.

In other games Tuesday, Norwalk meets Weston at 5:30 p.m. at Bill Terry Field; Nortrhop plays Ridgefield National at 5:45 p.m. at Coleman Mix field in Darien; and Stamford American meets Stamford Federal at 5:30 p.m. at Springdale.

The top two teams in each pool advance to Thursday's semifinals at Springdale. The championship game is set for Saturday, also at Springdale.
