Team In Training Seeks Norwalk Marathon Runners

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – Runners who did not get into the New York City Marathon still have an opportunity to run the race with Team In Training to support The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

The Wilton-based  group has a few spots available in its Team In Training program for the marathon, which is scheduled for Nov. 4. Runners can also participate in a training program with coaches and other Team In Training runners.

Runners will also be invited to an “Inspiration Dinner” before the race and a victory party afterward. The minimum fundraising level to run with the Team for NYC Marathon is $3,700, which includes NYC Marathon race entry, New York Road Runners fee, TNT training program, TNT singlet, Inspiration Dinner, victory party and race day on-course coaching support.

Runners who participate with Team In Training raise money to support blood cancer research and services to patients and their families. Fairfield county group training runs take place on Sunday mornings at Waveny Park in New Canaan. Runners who are training for other events with the team also participate in the runs, which are not mandatory.
