A team of breast cancer survivors participated Saturday in the Row For The Cure to benefit the Susan G. Komen for the Cure breast cancer charity.
The Norwalk River Rowing Association sponsored the event. Rowers raced 500 meters and raised more than $20,000 for the cancer-fighting charity. The Pink crew on the Pink 8+ boat consisted of Barbara Nash, Diane Cotting, Sally Chandler-Lint, Terry Polley, Caroly DiDomenico, Wendy Conti, Donna DiMartino and Martha Bruehl. The women had been training at the NRRA for nearly two months before Saturday's event.
