Storm Threat Postpones Fairfield County Sports

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – The stormy forecast has postponed nearly all of the outdoor varsity sports scheduled in the region for Tuesday.

For the most part, field hockey, boys and girls soccer and boys and girls cross country meets being played in Fairfield County have been postponed to a later date. There are only three exceptions to the postponements so far.

Wilton's boys soccer game at Bridgeport Central, Weston's boys soccer game at Bunnell and Joel Barlow's boys and girls cross country meet at Oxford are still on as planned.

All other outdoor games at Brien McMahon, Norwalk, Danbury, Immaculate, Fairfield Ludlowe, Fairfield Warde, Notre Dame-Fairfield, Fairfield Prep, Greenwich, Joel Barlow, New Canaan, Ridgefield, Stamford, Staples, Trinity Catholic, Westhill, Weston and Wilton High School have been postponed.

All indoor sports like girls volleyball and girls swimming and diving are still on as scheduled.
