Staples, New Canaan Shoot for State Titles

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — It all comes down to this. State championship weekend is fast approaching, and Staples High School will represent Fairfield County in the Class LL title game and New Canaan will represent Fairfield County in the Class L title game. New Canaan takes on Daniel Hand High at 2 p.m. Saturday, with Staples battling top-ranked Xavier of Middletown at 5:30 p.m. for all the marbles at Rentschler Field in East Hartford.

In their last preview of the season, analyst Kevin Jones and host Eric Gendron break down how Staples and New Canaan got to this point. Kevin also shares what he thinks will be the key to victory for each team and whether the two Fairfield County teams will win it all. Kevin and Eric also bid farewell to Norwalk after a remarkable turnaround season.
