Stags Play Denver Saturday

The Fairfield University men's lacrosse team is in the national rankings for the third straight week as the Stags prepare for a key game Saturday in Hartford.

Fairfield (8-3) has won seven of its last eight games. The Stags are ranked 18th in the U.S. Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association and 17th in the Inside Lacrosse media poll. Fairfield plays Denver Saturday at Rentschler Field in the inaugural ESPNU Warrior Classic. Game time is 11 a.m. Denver is also nationally ranked. The doubleheader also includes Massachusetts against Georgetown following the Fairfield game in another battle of nationally-ranked powers.

Fairfield is 4-1 in the ECAC, while Denver is 4-0. Loyola sits atop the league standings at 5-0. Former Norwalk High stars Brent Adams and John Snellman have 12 goals apiece for Fairfield, tied for the team lead with teammate Sam Snow.
