St Luke's is Runner-Up in New England Lacrosse

Dexter Academy of Massachusetts prevailed 11-9 over St Luke's School in a tight, see-saw battle for the New England Prep School boys lacrosse title.

St Luke's trailed 6-4 at the half, but its three seniors Mike Clark (captain), Jack Henson, and Joe Apuzzo came out and each put up a goal to give St Luke's the lead. From that point on, the two teams traded goals for the remainder of the game. With six minutes remaining, St Luke's was up  9-8.   Dexter got one goal off of a broken play to tie it, and then rode that momentum swing to netting two more goals for the win.

In addition to Clark, Henson, and Apuzzo, St Luke's coach, Austin Sanders' squad finished the season strongly due to multiple contributions. Of note, junior goalie  Adam Connolly (captain) played great all year, including a terrific performance against Division 1, Choate. Senior attack and captain J.D. Ballard was instrumental in quarterbacking the offense. Junior defenseman, Blake Overlander used his outstanding speed and aggressiveness to shut down some of the region's top scorers.
