FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. The 50th anniversary celebration of the Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference dinner-dance will take place at 6 p.m. March 24 at Chatham Manor in Norwalk. Tickets, priced at $45, will be sold to the first 300 people.
The event will include dinner, dancing and reminiscing. Many people will be honored or inducted into the league's Hall of Fame as well.
Tom Scarso of Norwalk High School, Bill Allen of Ridgefield, Ed Reilly Sr. of Bridgeport Central, Steve Miska of Warren Harding and Leroy Vaughn of Brien McMahon will be inducted into the Hall of Fame during the event for the prominent roles they had in laying the foundation of the league.
Paul Kuczo of Stamford, Charles Dattola of Greenwich, Linley Hubbard of Darien, Joe Troy of Norwalk, Thomas Reardon of Stamford, Harold Kinney of New Canaan, Roger Warner of Roger Ludlowe and Stan Lorenzen of Staples were the founders of the conference who will also be recognized. The 84 members already inducted into the FCIAC Hall of Fame will also be recognized.
