A rowing team from the SoNo Athletic Club takes a run on the Norwalk River as part of its training for its first event of the season this weekend in San Diego. The SoNo squad, under the direction of coach Liz Trond, departed Thursday for California. The team is the only East Coast squad scheduled to participate in this weekends competition, according to Chris Wyant, the director of the SoNo rowing program.
