The Raptors defeated the Liberty, 19-14, on Saturday at Nathan Hale School in the Norwalk Athletic Association girls basketball championship for girls ages 6 to 10. Carsyn Langhorn scored nine points for the Raptors, who held a tenuous 13-12 lead entering the fourth quarter before pulling away. The Raptors also won the league's regular-season championship.
The team includes Elizabeth Simo, Kathy Arpino, Amy Ochoa, Marisa Swanson, Michayla Lewis, Tiffany Dube, Cath DeSousa and Ellana Brancalo. Jim Wrinn coached the team.
