Penalty Kick Thriller Lifts Norwalk Youth Soccer

NORWALK, Conn. -- The Norwalk Junior Soccer Association 15/16 team capped its season with a thrilling showdown against Wilton this past weekend. After Wilton had surrendered an early 2-0 lead, Liam O'Reilly blasted a penalty kick late in the game to give Norwalk a stunning 3-2 victory, ending Norwalk’s spring season on a high note.

Norwalk got on the board first on an own goal due to heavy pressure by striker Brody O’Brien. It then went up 2-0 on a sizzling goal by Sebastian Guzman, who slipped the ball past the goalkeeper prior to the half. NJSA kept the lead into halftime thanks to the solid contributions of Massimo DiFederico, Evan Jones, Christian Guzman, Dashiell Murphy and Justin MacIntyre. Wilton came out strong with two quick goals 10 minutes into the second half to tie it up. Christian Bonebrake, Bill Schlegal, Chris Schlegal and Raul Huato controlled ball possession for Norwalk while Jakub Winch had another strong game in goal.
