The Oak Hills Women's Golf Association held its opening-of-the-season scramble April 13-18. Teams of three or four players competed. The team of Sue Norton, Rebecca Oresman, Judy Romano, and Pat Williams finished in first place with an adjusted score of 63.1. In second place, with a score of 65.3, was the team of Terry Kolenda, Dot Main, Sonya Nielsen, and Carol Mulhair.
In the second tournament of the season, held April 20-25, players competed individually, and were allowed to change their three worst holes to pars. The low gross score was posted by Pat Campbell (82) followed by Marge Connelly (83), and, on a match of cards, Marilyn Rowe (85). The low net score was carded by Beth Schneider (59) followed by Lynn Ryan (63) and Catherine Khang (65).
