Norwalk's Trimboli Shines on Wheaton Courts

Sophomore Jeana Trimboli is creeping into the career leader categories at Wheaton College, where she plays for the women's basketball team. The Norwalk native and Trinity Catholic grad recently sank five 3-pointers to move into 10th place on the school's all-time list. She has 82 3-pointers for her career.

Trimboli is having a breakout year for Wheaton, where she has started all seven games and leads the team with a 15.9-point average. She is also the team leader in steals and free throw percentage for Wheaton (3-4). She burned Coast Guard with a 23-point performance in a 62-44 victory. Trimboli scored 11 points in her most recent game, a 66-62 loss to Clark. Trimboli averaged 10.8 ppg last year, when she started 25 of 26 games.

Teammate Jana Jagodzinski of Greenwich stepped up in the contest against Clark to deliver a team-high 16 points.
