NORWALK, Conn. Two days after adding the Oak Hills club championship trophy to his collection, Norwalk teenager Jacob Henny picked up another piece of hardware Tuesday at Richter Park in Danbury.
Henny, 15, defeated Grayson Wiley, of Ridgefield, on the first hole of a sudden death playoff to win the Fran McCarthy Memorial Tournament. Henny and Wiley shot two-over-par 74s during regulation at Richter Park. Henny won with a par-4 on the first playoff hole. Wiley shot a double bogey.
Henny said it was the seventh straight year he played in the McCarthy tournament. It was his first victory. On Sunday, the teenager, who attends St. Lukes in New Canaan, defeated Ron Baransky in a playoff to win his first Oak Hills club championship.
