The six-week program, which begins on May 20 and ends with a day of races on July 6, costs $220 or $270 per person, depending on whether you want to row “Eights” (a 10-member team) or “Fours” (a six-member team). At least two women must be part of an Eights team, and at least one woman must be part of a Fours team.
After May 15, the per-person cost goes up to $240 and $285, respectively.
Participants will learn basic boat skills and rowing technique in the first four weeks, and the final two weeks will prepare the boaters for races.
Rowing is a great way to get into shape, and local businesses are invited to sponsor employees to participate. Proceeds from the program go toward community outreach efforts, and rowing scholarships for young members.
