NORWALK, Conn. A pair of Norwalk men have fueled a 5-0 start by the Fairfield University lacrosse team.
Brent Adams was named the ECAC Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week Tuesday while John Snellman had his fourth hat trick of the year Wednesday in a 9-6 win against Quinnipiac. Both players are seniors from Norwalk High School.
Adams earned his award after accumulating eight points in two wins last week. He scored four goals, including the game-winner, in a 4-3 triple-overtime win versus Hofstra. He leads the team with 15 points, including 11 goals, in the first five games.
Snellman has a team-high 14 goals for the Stags. He scored three goals in 85 seconds in the win against Quinnipiac. Adams also had a goal in Wednesdays win.
Norwalks Louie DiGiacomo, a former Brien McMahon standout, also is on the Fairfield roster. Westons Kip McMahon and Greenwichs Stephen Dodd are freshmen with the Stags.
