Weston's Liam Simmons took third on the 1-meter board and fourth on the 3-meter board to lead Next Generation divers at the YMCA National Diving championships at Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Simmons competed in the 12-13-year-old division for Next Gen, which competes out of the Norwalk YMCA.
Fairfield's Robert McCrory finished ninth on both boards in the boys 14-15-year-old division. Cory Schultz was 11th on the 1-meter and Norwalk's Billy Moran 12th in the 16-18-year-old division. Schultz was eighth in the 3-meter, Moran 12th.
For the girls, Jessica Horn took 10th on the 1- and 3-meter boards. Westport's Schaefer Andrews finished 11th on both boards and Kaitlyn Beaver 15th on both. Weston's Hannah Schroeder was 16th on the 3-meter and 17th on the 1-meter.
