A new triathlon is coming to Westport in June. The inaugural Targetraining Sherwood Island Sprint race will begin at Sherwood Island State Park on June 19 at 6:30 a.m.
The course is a half-mile swim in Long Island Sound, a 13-mile bike race through Westport's beachside communities and a 3.1-mile run within the park. USA Triathlon is sanctioning the event.
