Norwalk legend basketball Hall of Famer Calvin Murphy returns to town Thursday for Chelsea Cohen Fitness Academy's kickoff event at Norwalk High School. Ceremonies take place at Testa Field at 6:30 p.m.
Fellow NBA Hall of Famer Gail Goodrich will also be among the sports personalities on hand to sign autographs. The event is free and all area youth organizations are encouraged to attend.
The evening celebrates the positive aspects of leading an active lifestyle. It is a collaborative community effort to bring together all organizations working with area youth. Activities and demonstrations from leading professionals in fitness, health and wellness, weight training, nutrition and sports medicine will be part of the evening.
