McMahon's Bryan Daniello Wins Player of the Year

NORWALK, Conn. – Brien McMahon High School pitcher Bryan Daniello was named the Connecticut Player of the Year on Wednesday by ESPNHS and Gatorade.

Daniello, a senior who will continue his baseball career at the University of Connecticut, is 7-1 on the mound with a 1.35 ERA. At the plate, he has a .400 batting average, according to espn.go.com, with six home runs and 18 RBIs entering the state tournament.

Daniello is the first player from Norwalk to win the award. He is also the first player from the Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference to win the honor since Chris Fournier of Fairfield was honored in 2003.
