McMahon Softball Coach Frustrated After Loss

Four games into the season, Brien McMahon softball Paul Jacoby is frustrated. The Senators managed just one hit in a 11-0 loss to Trinity Catholic on Monday and fell to 0-4 for the season.

"We had a real good practice, and I thought we improved a lot,'' Jacoby said. "We didn't bring it to the field." Pitcher Tina Boehn struck out 18 batters for the Crusaders, who improved to 2-2. "She's a good pitcher, but they should put her in the FCIAC Hall of Fame after this,'' Jacoby said.

The Senators have struggled at the plate in the early season, managing just four runs in four games. They have been shut out twice. Jacoby said the team will take a break from practice Tuesday before returning to face Staples on Wednesday.

"I'm seeing the same things all the time,'' Jacoby said. "They come back to the bench and they don't seem to get mad. It's like they're accepting poor performances. I'm not happy at all."
