Katie Hammer and Deven Machette scored three goals to lead Brien McMahons girls lacrosse team to a 9-7 win over Fairfield Warde in its season opener. Calyx Garcia had a goal and an assit, while Becky Mydland had a goal. Angie Cruz had a goal and an assist, and Kelly McFarlin made 12 saves for the Senators, who led 5-3 at halftime.
