King, Greens Farms Make New Englands

Fresh out of their Fairchester Athletic Association league tournament play, King School and Greens Farms Academy baseball teams have qualified for the New England Small School Baseball Championship tournament.

King, the top seed in the West bracket, will host South Kent, weather permitting, at 4:30 p.m. Monday.

Greens Farms, the No.3 seed in the West, will travel to play FAA tourney champion Hamden Hall at 4:30 p.m. Monday.

The West finals will be played at the highest remaining seed on Wednesday, and then the championship game against the East winner will be played Friday at Bentley University in Waltham, Mass. The East bracket includes Pingree School of Massachusetts, Landmark School of Massachusetts, Brewster Academy of New Hampshire and Berwick Academy of Maine. 

The progress of the New Englands can be tracked on the "Brackets" tab in Main Street Connect's FAA varsity sports webpages for either of King, GFA or Hamden Hall's baseball teams.
