Sacred Heart's Bertony Jean-Louis was recently selected the Road Runner Sports NEC track athlete of the week. Jean-Louis, a sophomore who ran at Brien McMahon, set a school record in the 110 meter hurdles as he captured first place at the CTC Championships. He crossed the tape in 14.40 seconds, breaking his own record set at last year's IC4A Championships by .06 seconds.
Jean-Louis won a gold medal at the Collegiate Track Conference (CTC) Championships hosted by DeSales University. The time ranks Jean-Louis among the top-50 hurdlers in the East and puts him in position to qualify for the NCAA Regional Championships.
