"We are very sad and disappointed that we have to cancel our event this coming Sunday due to Hurricane Irene,'' TriFitness owner Pascale Butcher wrote on the Trifitness website. "The city of Norwalk, which has been so supportive of this event all along, told us today that all park facilities are being closed down in preparation for the storm. We know how hard you have trained for the event, and some of you have practiced the course so many times. But a hurricane is coming our way."

Kaia Yoga, of Westport, has also donated a free session to athletes who have already registered. Coupons are available at the TriFitness store at 1150 Post Road. For more information about refunds, visit the TriFitness website.
