Greenwich's Brisson Sets League Diving Mark

Greenwich High School senior Connor Brisson set a league record en route to victory in the Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference boys diving championship Wednesday night at Westhill School.

Brisson compiled 529.6 points. He was followed by Dan Schott of Wilton with 407.55 and Darien's Jake Bowtell with 399.15.

Westhill/Stamford compiled 41 points to take a slim eight-point lead over Greenwich into Thursday's swimming portion of the meet. The Vikings were led by Sean Burston (fourth, 385.3), Rob Katz (sixth, 304.65) and Lauren Cunningham (10th, 278.05). Darien goes into Thursday's meet with 21 points.

Brisson, who recently committed to attend Indiana University, finished second last year to former teammate Mark Connell, now at Princeton. Greenwich will be looking for its fourth straight championship in Thursday's finals.
