WESTPORT, Conn. Caitlin Rummelsburg scored in overtime to give the Greens Farms Academy Field hockey team a 2-1 win over St. Lukes Wednesday in a Fairchester Athletic Association game.
Olivia Taylor scored Greens Farms' first goal, deflecting a corner by Madison Leonard. On the game-winner, Leonard, delivered again as she carried the ball upfield and blasted a shot toward the St. Lukes cage. Rummelsburg, a junior from Fairfield, was there to poke home the rebound. Leonard is a junior captain from Westport.
Midfielders Maggie Sherin and Hayley Holzinger played strong alongside Leonard. The defensive group of Isabelle Canaan, Ashley Hutchison, JJ Rattray and Juliet Fontana played strong in front of goalie Jenny Ross who had seven saves. Greens Farms visits King on Saturday at 1 p.m.
