WESTPORT, Conn Phebe Wong and Hilary Shannon scored two goals as the Greens Farms Academy team blanked Holy Child, 4-0, to start a busy week for the girls soccer team.
Wong scored an early goal assisted by Dariens Campbell Goldsmith. Hilary Shannon scored GFAs second goal, assisted by Dariens Kiki Kauffman. Dariens Meighan Grady assisted on Wongs next goal as the Dragons built a 3-0 halftime lead.
Holy Child pressed the attack in the second half. GFAs defense, ledby senior captains Kate Tomlinson and Sam Brown, kept Holy Child off the board. Junior Blair Pelle, sophomores Cole Vanacore and Georgie Garner, along with sophomore keeper Caroline Kruk (four saves) and junior keeper Meghan Donovan (five saves) also protected the GFA goal.
