WESTPORT, Conn. The Greens Farms Academy boys soccer team played King to a 4-4 tie on homecoming day Saturday in Westport.
Harry Garland of Westport and Riversides Spencer Hartig scored early goals to stake GFA to a 2-0 lead. Hartig assisted on Garlands goal, and sophomore Brendan Bieder set up Hartigs tally. After King scored on a penalty kick, Hartig connected again off a pass from John Lawrence of Southport to restore the two-goal margin.
King answered with two goals in the second half before Hartig took a pass from Munir Qaddourah to give GFA a 4-3 lead. King scored the equalizer on a free kick with six minutes remaing.
GFA meets Canterbury on Wednesday.
