Girls Basketball All-Conference Team Announced

The Fairfield Interscholastic Athletic Conference honored the top girls basketball players in the county this week. Eight girls were named to the All-FCIAC first team with each player representing a different school.

Representing the schools in the Main Street Connect readership area on the first team are Trinity Catholic center Mackenzie Griffin, New Canaan guard Sarah Mannelly, Norwalk forward Rotisha Lewis and Fairfield Warde guard Brielle Lanese.

The rest of the All-FCIAC first team includes Casey Smith of Danbury, Nancy Stablein of St. Joseph, Molly Welch from FCIAC runner-up Ridgefield and Kelly Coughlin of the FCIAC champion Trumbull Eagles.

Erica Stein of Staples, Maddy Fulton of Wilton, Christina Loop of New Canaan, Kiara Goodwin of Brien McMahon, and Meg Marren and Nicole Buch of Darien were named to the All-FCIAC second team.
