The Greens Farms Academy baseball team defeated a much-improved South Kent team by a final score of 5-1. The Dragons had a solid effort from Norwalk's Jonah Singer, who pitched four innings and allowed only one earned run. Thatcher Gleason of Darien came on in relief and threw three shutout innings.
GFA was led offensively by Spencer Traver of Easton and Rex Tavello of Fairfield, each picking up two hits. Christian Papic of Darien had a double and two RBIs for GFA as well. The Dragons are back in action Tuesday at home against Brunswick at 4:15.
