Football Kicks Off Early This Week

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – The high school football schedule gets off to an early start this week, with many of the games scheduled to kick off Thursday.

One of the key contests Thursday finds Greenwich at Trumbull for a 6 p.m. Greenwich lost last week in a non-league contest to New London, while Trumbull is 2-0.

In other Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference action Thursday, games scheduled to kick off at 6 p.m. include Ridgefield at Wilton, St. Joseph at Stamford and Westhill at Bridgeport Central.  At 6:30, Darien kicks off at Danbury. At 7, New Canaan plays at Brien McMahon, Fairfield Ludlowe hosts Harding and Fairfield Warde hosts Bassick.

In a Southern Connecticut Conference game, Fairfield Prep meets Jonathan Law at 6 p.m. In the South-West Conference, Notre Dame-Fairfield plays Stratford at 3:45 p.m., and Weston hosts Bunnell at 3:45 p.m. In a private school game, St. Luke’s hosts Kingswood-Oxford at 3:30 p.m.

On Friday, Norwalk visits Trinity Catholic for a 3 p.m. kickoff, Masuk meets Joel Barlow at 3 and Brunswick hosts Kent at 6:30.
