Field Hockey Playoffs Switched to Sunday

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – Saturday's field hockey playoffs have been postponed due to the weather. The quarterfinals will now be played Sunday at Brien McMahon High School.

No. 5 Stamford meets fourth-seeded Staples at 1 p.m. At 3 p.m., No. 6 New Canaan meets No. 3 Norwalk. No. 7 Fairfield Ludlowe meets No. 2 Wilton at 5 p.m., and No. 1 Darien plays No. 8 Westhill at 7 p.m.

The winners advance to Wednesday’s semifinals at Dunning Field in New Canaan. The final is scheduled for Nov. 4, at Brien McMahon at 4 p.m.
